Women’s Programs
Life skills development for women
“Restoration is always in abundance.
When something is restored, it is always better than it was to begin with!”
The Restore Program has been specifically designed especially for women who are rebuilding their lives after trauma, grief, abuse, violence or mental health issues. This program provides an opportunity for adult women, to work alongside our horse ‘teachers’ to build self-confidence, self-awareness, communication, trust and much more!
By interacting with horses, participants learn how to take empowered action, trying new behaviours and connecting with their own thoughts and feelings. Horses respond to the true self (sometimes participants don’t realise the self they are projecting) and work hard to push participants to a new level where they are attentive and present in the moment.

BENEFITS
The benefits of experiential based learning programs have long been recognised as an ideal modality for enabling a participant to learn lessons and skills. As we all learn differently, some of us learn better through hands-on experience than in a traditional classroom.
Interactivity with horses is a positive experience and it has been proven that the more senses that are engaged, the greater the likelihood that new learning will be retained.
In addition, working with horses also encourages getting outside, breathing in fresh air, and physical movement. The horses in our EAL programs do all of the teaching, whilst our qualified and accredited facilitators are there to offer explanation and provide guidance and parallel the lessons learnt from the horse back to real life circumstances.
This type of learning is suitable for everyone and participants do not need any previous horse knowledge or experience, and there is no riding.

This program gave me the courage to believe in myself again.
